chris-dragonFollowing nearly three years as Assistant Conductor of WASO which was funded by the Simon Lee Foundation, in 2016 Chris Dragon was appointed as Associated Conductor to the Colarado Symphony, on an initial 12-month contract. As well as working with WASO, Christopher has served as the music director or conductor of several music organisations in Western Australia, including the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Operabox, the South Side Symphony Orchestra and staff conductor for the West Australia Youth Orchestra and West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

This would not have been possible without the support of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Services International and the Simon Lee Foundation. Working with and learning from Western Australia’s only professional orchestra and enjoying the close mentorship of Chief Conductor Asher Fisch has been a dream come true for me. I feel so fortunate to have been given this opportunity and know I would not be where I am today without it.
